Adding Value to Oklahoma

LEAN Enterprise 101

  • Workshop Description
LEAN manufacturing principles are essential, not just applicable, in food processing. A raw material goes through value-added processes before it becomes a finished food product and is distributed. LEAN principles facilitate these processes making them more efficient and more profitable.

Anyone seeking to implement process improvements within and organization should attend this workshop.

LEAN manufacturing principles are for food processors, too. Manufacturing a food product is comparable to manufacturing any other type of product: a raw material is processed through a series of steps to transform it into a finished product for distribution.

The LEAN principles can be applied to eliminate waste and improve a product's flow through the value stream and can improve the communication flow through the office to the production floor.
